DELTA KAPPA GAMMA SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDERS
Delta Kappa Gamma Society International was founded May 11, 1929, at the Faculty Women's Club at the University of Texas in Austin.
Dr. Annie Webb Blanton, faculty member at the University of Texas and former state superintendent of public instruction, conceived the idea of an honorary organization for women educators and selected 11 other Texas women to help her found the Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
